Welcome to Swan Point

Reminiscent of Carmel-by-the-Sea, Swan Point pushes out into Lake Elkhorn forming, on its western flank, the inlet sheltered by low hills where the boat dock lies. The land rises in a gentle slope from the lake walkway to the flat terrain at Cradlerock Way. Trees jealously protected by the residents--oaks, maples, ashes, spruce, birches, dogwoods, flowering cherries--shade decks and patios and porches along Swan Point Way, which winds through the point, and Harbor Lane at the northern boundary. People who live on the point, including writers, engineers, teachers, and professors, have for over thirty years worked to preserve the natural beauty of the Maryland woodland and to improve the common areas with planting, walkways, and occasional brief stairs. They have created a community considered by some to be the most beautiful townhouse setting in Columbia.

Officially known as Swan Point at Lake Elkhorn, the condominium community consists of 150 three-story townhouses in the village of Owen Brown, one of ten villages that comprise Columbia. It is four miles from the Columbia Mall, fifteen miles from the Baltimore Inner Harbor and twenty-two miles from the D.C. mall. Just a block from the Owen Brown shopping center and less than five minutes from major access highways (I-95, MD 32, MD 29 and MD 100), the point covers fifteen acres.

The fully incorporated Swan Point at Lake Elkhorn Condominium Association created and maintains this website. We are proud of our point of land and dedicated to conserving its beauty and sustaining it as a fine place to live.
